Lomma Hårdkrom is one of Scandinavia's leading hard chrome plating companies. We offer high quality hard chrome plating of new and used parts up to 13 meters and with a weight of up to 10 tons.
Our core business is hard chrome plating. We also offer turning, grinding and polishing as part of the surface treatment process.
We are located in Lomma in southern Sweden, close to the highway, about 40 minutes north of the Öresund Bridge.
With today's high demands on quality and document control, we work according to ISO 9001:2008 since 2011 with a fully automated production and customer reporting system accessed via smart devices developed by lhk.se.
Lomma Hårdkrom was founded in Malmö in 1948 by Gustaf Ericsson. In 1953 the factory moved to Lomma. Hard chrome plating has always been part of the company's core business. For a period, the company manufactured rollers and piston rods. At its peak, the company had nearly 40 employees.
In 1992, Guttorm J. Olsen took over control of the company. Guttorm started his first plating company in 1970 and was one of the few pioneers in the chrome plating industry. He then contributed his expertise and technology to meet the challenges facing the company. Equipment suitable for the future production was kept and some rare machines for special jobs were kept and are still in operation today.
Over the years, the factory has evolved to its current form with approximately 2700 square meters of production facilities and a highly specialized machinery park. After successful years in the service of our customers, it was once again time to upgrade the heart of our company. In 2006-2008, the electrolytic plating line was completely upgraded with new plating tanks and ventilation according to the best available technology, synchronized cranes and new belt grinders. Ready for tomorrow's needs.
In 2011, Guttorm A. Olsen took over the company from his father and introduced the long-awaited digitalization that he had already started to realize when he joined the company in 2006. Now we are ready for the coming years with a fully automated production and customer reporting system accessed via smart devices and developed by lhk.se.
