Good to know about hard chrome plating

Hard chrome plating produces an extremely hard and durable surface that can withstand very high pressures and intense mechanical wear. Hard chrome plating typically has a hardness of 900–1,100 Vickershardness(HV). This corresponds to approximately 65–70 on the Rockwell C scale (HRC), making it one of the hardest industrial surface treatments available and extremely resistant to wear and abrasion. The electrolytic process results in a hardness significantly higher than that of most common or unhardened steel grades, which is exactly the protection required when tools and molds work in close contact with other hard materials. 

Because we incorporate meticulous grinding and polishing into our comprehensive solution, we create a very smooth surface with minimal friction. This low friction allows the molded material to release more easily from the mold, which dramatically reduces the risk of weld-on, scratches, and surface damage to both the tool and the final product.
